I am Nicolas Dodier, 42 years old, originally from the Hautes Pyrénées, and I have been practicing snow sports since a very young age. I settled in the Val de Bagnes in 2009 to immerse myself in these majestic mountains and to share my passion for snow sports with my students.
I took my first steps on skis at the age of 2 and started snowboarding at 12, followed by 10 years of national-level competition. I later transitioned into teaching to pass on my love for these sports. With a deep knowledge of the 4 Valleys and their surroundings, I am happy to guide students of all ages and abilities, whether on or off the slopes, always prioritizing optimal safety through regular avalanche safety courses every two years.
My personalized teaching approach ensures that you will quickly learn to make your first turns or improve your technique, in complete safety. I would be delighted to introduce you to the countless natural wonders that this beautiful region offers during your stay.

First day was getting used to being back on skis / building up some confidence and the second was doing some more challenging runs. Even in just a few hours I learnt a lot; he had great attention to detail in fixing my technique and was super patient. Thanks so much !

1 April 2024 at 16h23Nico was an extremely friendly, helpful instructor. He gave great feedback and was amazing at always checking up on us and helping us with any questions and struggles. He gently stretched us and introduced us to new skills and abilities without rushing us or pushing us too far. Every lesson was extremely enjoyable and I will definitely want Nico as my teacher again. I can’t wait to meet again for our next lesson! Izzy Niko was an awesome instructor, not to mention his skiing skill and his ability to help us with anything in a fun and engaging way. He was also very good at teaching us lots of new skills while ensuring that we were safe. I hope to see him again in the future and I wouldn’t hesitate to go out on the mountain with him again.
