Skiing

Throughout the winter season, I will be happy to welcome you to the ski resorts of Verbier and Crans-Montana in Switzerland where I will share with you my passion for skiing. I am a fully qualified Swiss ski instructor (Brevet Fédéral).  I have taught skiing for the last 16 years. During this time I have worked as an instructor in Canada, New Zealand, and Switzerland. I love skiing and sharing the experience with others.  It makes my day to see people having as much fun as I do up in the mountains, away from the daily stresses of life. Everyone is unique and therefore I adapt my teaching and approach to the needs of the learner.  It’s all about having fun in a safe environment. Skiing can be learned at almost any age, (my oldest beginner was 68 the very first time they put on skis).  It’s never too late to start! I will guide you in the discovery and development of alpine skiing, piste or off-piste, by giving you my expertise and experience. Courses are accessible to people of all levels and all ages. I believe that teaching skiing, whatever the level of practice should not be reduced to the learning of pre-established notions. Therefore, the mission of my courses is individualization. Everyone is unique; I therefore strive to adapt my teaching and my advice specifically to your level, your needs and your requirements. I will develop a structured course to suit your individual needs, I will discuss with you your course objectives and observe your ability first hand on skis.  I will then implement the best ski-lesson to suit your needs. I offer ski lessons available for full or half days.  In winter I work predominantly in Verbier and Crans-Montana, although I do travel to Zermatt and other resorts depending on the individual client.  In summer, weather permitting, I can do lessons on the glacier in Zermatt.  Many of my clients are repeat customers and book me for the duration of their stay.  I am fluent in English and French and equally comfortable teaching in either language.

Biking

During summer time I give bike lessons for all levels.   Downhill biking: I am a passionate downhill biker and have been teaching for many years.  I can focus on jumps, banked corners, roots, or rocky paths, or every condition possible if that is what you are looking for.  If you are a mountain biker, but you are looking for something more challenging, this is for you! Enduro bike lessons: For this type of lesson, I offer some easy downhill and a little bit of uphill biking. This is for people who want to have fun on the bike without taking too much risk.   E-biking: I am happy to organize sightseeing tours for all levels.  This is a great way to enjoy amazing views and discover the beautiful canton of Valais, Switzerland. Whatever your level, your desires or your challenges … join me to enjoy the mountain differently!

  Mickael was wonderful at building my partner’s confidence from a very nervous beginning, and significantly improving her skiing in just two lesson. Would definitely recommend Mickael to anyone looking for some lessons!

  Great ski instruction! Very patient. Mickael took us all over Verbier, we saw almost everything in 4 short days. He also took care of us, but challenged us appropriately. We had a fantastic time with Mickael!

  Mickael is hands down the best ski instructor ever – I started out as a complete beginner and 4 days later, I was breezing down reds and blacks. He is kind, patient and explains skiing extremely well – he also takes the time to watch you ski and gives tips on an ongoing basis and is so knowledgeable . He is also fantastic at building confidence and knows which runs to go to. Skiing with Mickael is a genuine pleasure and the way he teaches means you end up really enjoying skiing, it also helps so much that he is super kind and is easy to talk to. Cant wait to come back to Verbier and have more lessons with Mickael – thank you so much for the fantastic time!
